About
Hey y’all I’m Terri, I run the show around here. This blog is a project that began much earlier than the posts themselves. I’ve been blogging on and off since Greymatter. For those of you who don’t get that reference, read also: a long time in Internet time.
My personal blog is dedicated to pushing tidbits of code, web development and design concepts and ideas. It’s my journal; available to the outside world. You’ll find lots of topics from PHP, Prototype & jQuery, photography and really anything I have to say.
If you are interested in staying up to date subscribe to the rss feed. I don’t have a posting schedule and to be honest not a lot of subscribers. You probably ended up here from a search engine like > 80% of my other visitors. All I ask is that when you find a post you like you tweet it to your followers, Facebook like it to your friends or Stumble it so others may find it as well.
I believe that knowledge should be open and shared. Yes there will always be misinformation and trade secrets but I’m here to share my knowledge and experience with you.
How did this site get started?
Back in 2004ish I started to develop a heck of a code library, college will do that for ya! But I had no solid method of taking all this code and making it easy to find what I needed out of old projects. So I started blogging just so I could reference old code and have a way to talk myself back through the code if I needed to. Then Google caught up with me and people started arriving because I was answering for my future self the very questions they were asking.
On Guest Blogging
Yup I’m available to guest blog anywhere that I can help pass on valuable information. If you would like me to guest blog on your site shoot me an email at terri@ this domainname
We will always accept guest posts here. The site may be branded with my name but if you have some idea to promote, I’m all ears! If you have a product, event or promotion let me know, maybe we can work something out. I’m somewhat fussy about what I post here. This site is neither a link farm nor a page rank spiller so do us both the service of acknowledging that before suggesting I post about your crazy new fleeting money making scheme. I have enough of my own thanks ;)
On Advertising & Affiliates
As you can see there is little to no adverts on the site. Why? It’s not cause I don’t like money, but a majority of the traffic and readership I get just doesn’t convert into AdSense revenue or any other typical CPC advertisements. I am happy to post the occasional affiliate links if the price is right, the product or service is relevant and if it’s something I would stand behind in real life where there are no cookies for me to get paid on.
Terri’s Other Projects
I’m a 20-something creative professional from Central Massachusetts that splits her time between Western Mass and Boston.
I’ve got a problem – I’m on of those “crafty” people. From an early age I was into crafts and sewing and making things with my hands. The problem lies in that trait has convinced me that I am capable of anything I put my mind to – so I try everything. I’m a blogger, green conscious, degu mom, jewelry maker, photographer, photography blogger, web developer and designer. I’ve also toyed with being an author, making curtains, diy projects and much more. I guess I just have a hard time focusing.
