Subtle Theme Change for Ninedays

As I was overhauling the new theme, it occurred to me that (dumb me) when I changed the settings for different plugins to work with the new theme I was ruining the current theme.

Oh well. I really like this new theme (btw: subtle) and although it’s not perfect it’s definitely got the right idea! It’s got a number of strong points.

The only things I have left that I need to change is:

  • The overall design (colors, logo graphics etc..)
    • AHHH!!! How much do you love the module on the home page? Love it! I’m so cute! ;)
  • Recent links sectionIt’s up, needs some tweaks
  • Page links for multi-page postsDone, but needs styling
  • JavaScript for color codeLooks good!
  • Footer links / main nav links
  • Clean up pages
  • Add breadcrumbsAdded and styled!
  • Update home page, make it feel like a home page
  • Fix 404 Error page problem
  • Externalize linksdone!

Sounds like a lot…and it is, but with so much left to change it’s probably worth pushing live the new look in phases.

Well that and as always I’m antsy to get it live so I can finish all the bug testing!

lol I wondered what you were talking about the other day with the theme change – looks good though not sure about the 2 columns on the right.
