Okay so that’s not completely true but I have taken a break from staying up until all hours of the night coding to actually take advantage of spring in New England.
I’m going to be dedicating a lot of my time this summer to photography; especially after I spent $200 on a background and stand, $200 on another flash, $100 for another light stand and umbrella kit I think you get the point, I have a problem.
I’ve began to connect with models in the area on Model Mayhem and I’ve filled up six pages of a sketchbook that was empty three days ago with different photo concepts and ideas for shoots.
Tonight I’ll be shooting a portrait of my concept of Snow White with my roomie, I shot a few dozen photos of a friend’s tattoos last night and I’ll be shooting an acquaintance (girlfriend of a friend of a friend) Saturday.
With the shoot I did Patriots day weekend with my friend Crystal and her son Hayden I am a crazy photographing machine again.
And it feels DAMN good
I’ve really never felt as creative as I have over the past two weeks. Every morning I wake up and I just want to take a picture, no, scratch that: I want to take pictures!
I’ll try to post a web dev related blog as often as I can over the coming months; actually I have techniques I just need to do the write up about but expect more photo related posts until then!
